DH2 has sold nothing.

 

Star Wars is 240% of Thor's Friday morning tally (111.6M OD) and 315% of JL (121.3M)  Given that a lot of these are close to selling out, I highly doubt that's what the numbers end up as, but a 100M OD stands a good chance.

Ferdinand has sold 135% of Ninjago the night before (7.5M), 2x as much as MLP (9M), and 3x as much as The Star (8.4M). I don't know how many kids are out of school tomorrow, but this is VERY good.

Totally agree, it's truly great. I connected with it in a way I hadn't with any of the other SW movies. Definitely better than TFA.

Last Jedi was pretty much even with TFA at my theatre for the first show. However, it doesn't have as many screens for the late night shows, so it's at a disadvantage there. I'd say overall it'll be about 8-10% behind TFA for Thursday, so our equivalent of 43.0-43.5M Thursday (compared to 47.5M for TFA).

I'll hold off saying much else until I see it again on Sunday.
