US premiere more than three weeks before the movie opens? That's weird

The movie's been done FOR-EVAH and they can't wait to get it out there.  Read Empire's theater buzz above.  If you're still not convinced Paramount thinks/knows they have a hit on their hands, I don't know what to tell you.

Talked to a theater person, and they said their private corporate bookings are already "off the charts" compared to anything they have seen since pre-pandemic.

Paramount letting theaters book as early as 8am on Wednesday.  It will not be an insignificant number in the opening gross.

Biggest May 2022 release possible?

Young people from all over America are joining up to fight for the future!  Are you?  Join the United States air force and save the world!  Service guarantees heroism.

Young people are not gonna see this with a 60 yo Cruise. This movie is for the 50s+

It might not sweep Gen-Z off their feet to rush to their nearest theatres since they aren't quite versed with the film's legacy or its status in pop culture but millennials are going to turn out in big numbers for this, especially those between 35-45. Or are those not considered young?

I don't think Gen Z folks are excited for this but I also don't think the subject is impossible to appeal to them as long as the movie is quality. It's got appealing visuals, it's an action movie, and it's not like the cast is all geriatric dudes.

If it reviews well, it'll get enough of Gen Z's attention to make up the rest of the audience needed to succeed.

Memorial Day weekend is not really known for major blockbuster numbers, is it? Aladdin made 90M a few years ago, and i don't see TG 2 having the hype of that movie. That had the family crowd, plus we are in a different BO era

Last year, A Quiet place 2 made only 47M
