Sub 50% drop for Rampage in the preview era cements 'best video game movie ever'. It could challenge IFP for 2nd place with 18.5 odd.

$100 million looks like a reach for Rampage. We’ll know for sure depending how big it drops next weekend and how light the drop the weekend after is. Overseas it’s doing great, China seems to be holding really well. Around $400 million worldwide is a win.

When dom returns are healthy, 2.5x*prod budget is a good enough global safety mark. Rampage should at least do 3x :

92.5 dom

132.5 china

135 os-china

= 360 ww (3.0 * 120)

92.5*0.55 + 132.5*0.25 + 135*0.33 = 129

Truth or Dare has one of the greatest ending scenes of the year. It is Jesus.

I genuinely think the people making the film were aware of how goofy the film is and it’s clear they weren’t trying to take themselves too seriously.  People who say the film takes itself too seriously, I don’t understand that at all

If Disney isn't pushing for double features, I don't expect BP to hit 690M.

I feel WiT will benefit from double features and might make it to 100 eventually.

Which movie in top 10 will have the best hold next weekend? I think it's gonna be AQP. It will be weekend 4 and it's showing strong legs. The demo overlap seems smaller than other films.

Edit: ICOI could also hold well comparatively.

It'll definitely be A Quiet Place if Disney isn't pushing BP. I think it's going to drop just under 50%

Something opening this weekend, which will be kept in its screen for Friday night vs getting its "prime time" showings canceled for more Infinity War...I'd bet best drop in top 10 might go to I Feel Pretty, even with the possibly subpar WOM b/c I think all Top 10 drops are gonna be huge (and Thursday will be UGLY)...

Anything that isn't selling within 15 minutes of showtime is most certainly gonna get cancelled for more Infinity War.
