It seems to me that some fans just want this to fail and are frustrated by all the love and tracking. Maybe because it's Sony and not Marvel/WB movie?

PG-13 has dampened my enthusiasm. After all the talk about doing something different that Spidey movies and portraying the raw nature of Venom they bailed pretty fast.

 

I think it will open very big, 80-100 and follow up with average legs for a non-sequel (2.5-2.7x). Feel they will have their future plans floundering with the franchise due the PG 13-rating and won't find mixing into the MCU Spidey story smooth despite the rating as that one would be well thought out by MCU heads.
