I see almost no one actively wanting their films to fail. The biggest MCU supporters all seem to either be supportive about their films or indifferent to them. On the flip side, there is a constant flow of people on this site actively rooting against MCU films or trying to find faults with the MCU films when they succeed at the box office.

Marcel's okay. She also wrote Saving Mr. Banks and that Terra Nova sci-fi show was her creation, so she's got experience in the genre.

 

Regarding 50Shades, E.L James & hubby hated her and tossed her out along with Taylor-Johnson, the director, which led to the sequel being a complete trainwreck. So Marcel was on the side that came off looking better.
