Why they think ASIB will have biggest sunday drop from the TOP9? lol. that doesnt make sense. It should have smallest drop. Maybe they are underestimating it to have people talk tomorrow how it overperformed

I think Ad Astra is still releasing in january. Fox would have announced the delay when they announced the delay for x men

I'll be very surprised at this point considering there's no sign of the marketing starting any time soon. WB delayed Gravity by nearly a year just a few months before its original Thanksgiving 2012 release date because it needed more time in post, which is probably why there's been nothing for Ad Astra yet.

I read it and called it out for the cherry picking and misreading of B.O. and career paths it was to prop up this erroneous conclusion

Thats very clear, especially with Marvel films, it seems to be a last chance saloon for lots of the actors involved (RDJ, Ruffalo, Rudd), or one that the actors can’t break free from their characters (Hemsworth, Evans)

That’s not the initial post, that’s a response to someone else. I still maintain, they’re struggling to open their recent solo projects. I wasn’t saying they haven’t had big careers.

Predictions for next weekend:

Halloween: 85M

The boogeyman is coming.

👀 oh god that would be insane. Would more than double the opening weekend for any slasher film in history. 🤔

That would be astounding, but I think it’s impossible.

I’m going with 40-50m for Halloween. Being slightly cautious. It’s hard for the industry to track R rated horrors at this level. I refuse to be “Scream 4’d” again lol

It will come 1-2M higher in actuals for sure

Sunday > Friday is not realistic. I'd say + .5M

Unrelated: A Simple Favor' (modest) success is very important, even if the movie is a mess and has no idea what it wants to be.

Interesting, since they usually have sell outs for the hot indies regardless.  Were the ticket prices higher?

Considering the Q&A included most of the key talent from the film (Chalamet, Carell, the director), probably. They also did one at the AMC Lincoln on Thursday too.

You probably think Gosling is a snobby Hollywood liberal even though he's not even from this country.
