Looks like SUPER PETS and TGM fighting for the top spot. MAVERICK has a shot to return to the top on the weekend when it's overtaking TITANIC. Great balls of fire. don't forget Andre Rieu. Comfortably #1 on Saturday and probably Sunday as well, but wasn't showing on Friday
The Dark Alfred
Yea it's like a photo finish between 7 titles. Grand National easier to predict the right order haha

SnokesLegs
Unusual to see a film open at number 1 in the US (albeit a very low opening on a weak weekend) but not even make the top 10 in the UK. Got to admit though, I haven’t seen a single bit of marketing for The Invitation, not even a trailer at the cinema. I don’t think I’ve seen the Invitation trailer even once and I’ve been to see 7 different films this month and 5 of them were horror/thrillers. What I have had on all 7 trips is the trailer for Three Thousand Years of Longing and it’s starting to drive me mad lol.

I got three horror trailers in front of Bullet Train; Orphan First Kill, Smile and The Invitation. Smile looked the most interesting, out of them.

Heretic
Strange how TG is being reported as almost $100m, but due to falling ERs it’s actually been falling from a high of $96.4m to now $94.7m reported on BOM, despite seeing increases at the box office in the last two weeks. The pound is reaching new lows every week and it is at its lowest point since 1985 (excluding the couple of days around the first March 2020 lockdown), at just £1/$1.16, down from almost $1.4 a year ago. With the economic outlook, I don’t think it’ll be recovering any time soon and I wouldn’t be surprised if it got close to parity. Sad, as it’s almost impossible for a film to reach $100m now, and even $50m would be difficult whereas previously it was a fairly standard target. Shows how huge of an impact ERs actually have on the international box office, especially in a time when most currencies are depreciating relative to the dollar. Krissykins
This Saturday looks busy, for obvious reason. There are 20 films playing though. The Invitation is already gone, finished tonight. I think DC Super Pets could be #1, just a guess. It has sold the most tickets for Saturday, easily. Sold out 4 showings so far.
