I've been reading up on the differences between the three cuts and consensus I think seems to be Final Cut is better than Redux but not as good as original. That being said it does appear to be Coppola's vision of what he wanted.

But yeah that can be annoying, I personally find it annoying when cop cars keep on the tail of sports cars in crime/heist films. I guess you should visit German Highways (mostly no speed limits = more people are used to higher speeds, even if the most choose usually not to do so, e.g. expensive per car gets 'thirsty' 😉 ) beside the funny (for me) pictures I'll put it in spoiler tags as too OT Spoiler There are police cars in a few places all over the world that are faster, but how to use them in extremer situations, I think here they are more able to use the limits in average. But here too not all police cars are of the extremer version, highways and cities with a high rate of races usually get the faster ones as far as I know One of our states provides Porsche since the '50 - the oldest pics I could find Spoiler A country 'without' a speed limit in highways needs fast police too 😉 (I still have to laugh when I see one, but it was fast for its time, e.g. the 1958 version was something over 120 miles per hour) Today I think they have up to 300km/h cars, but the most are far slower. My fastest car, better said the fastest I drove from time to time in the past was 150 miles per hour, that never would have been then a problem for them, even if driving similar fast cars, as the are better trained e.g. in narrow, curvy parts. Now I drive a very small car, but it does need only a small amount of fuel.

Yeah, I'm sure the German police have fast cars as motorways are faster, i more meant in American films where the bad guys (or good guys) have some supercar and the American cop cars can keep up. Police here (UK) use fast BMWs too which I'm sure could keep up with most cars. Although a few months ago - I have quite a quick car and I was speeding on the road and eventually when I slowed down, a BMW X5 police car siren lit up and pulled me over. They said "You are lucky we couldn't catch up to you until you slowed down, because you were driving a lot faster than what we caught you at". 😕

E.g. a fleeing car squeezing between 'tracks' and bumping other cars... police has to wait till the space opens up again so they can follow I owned a 7er BMW in the past 😉 And a 650er motorcycle (Yamaha, building a license version of the '50 Triumph that they used in races.). And a motor home. Hubby other cars. Now I own a very small car and a caravan, he still a motorcycle, BMW, and a classic van he restores himself (I stopped to restore,... he started, its funny) Edited August 20, 2019 by terrestrial

Just realized that's deliberately improper grammar from Rainer Werner Fassbinder, because that translates to "Fear Eat Soul Up". Proper grammar might be "Angst isst Seelen auf" or something like that.

On that list I have sublists per spoken language, means many French titles, Italian,.... and German titles too (funily less than French) And yes, it's intentional a wrong grammar, its about a cultural and age-wise mixed pair, where he is not a German. Its weak on choice for comedy and romance, but it has some of those too. Nearly no animated so.... But some western too, the '70 still had some of the good ones. If you list which genres you prefer or need some more to a more round/balanced collection, or if more award like movies, action,.... whatever we might be able to suggest some titles?

rukaio101
Pretty sure the biggest question for me in this thread is less "Which 70's Movie do I put in 1st?" and more 'Can I see enough 70's Movies before the deadline to knock 'Salo or 120 Days of Sodom' off my list?" (And yes, I am aware I don't necessarily have to send in a full 100 movie list, but I'm a perfectionist, dammit!)
