It does look quite cute. Ryan Reynolds makes me think of streaming these days though, so they’ll have a task of convincing families to go to the cinemas instead. At least it’s live action.

I could see this really being something special. The BTS featurette calling it a “live action pixar movie” feels pretty apt. I didn’t love the trailer, but I love the concept and the creative team behind it.

Glad some are liking it but this looks awful to me. Maybe movie ends up being great but trailer doesn’t work for me. I had high hopes with it being Krasinski too.

Ohh this looks adorable indeed, so much potential! I’m liking what I’m seeing from Ryan in the trailer, a lot!

 

The Pixar live-action description feels very apt. I hope it’s as good as it looks.

This doesn’t look too good. Or maybe it just me being over the whole Ryan Reynolds schtik. It’s has become beyond unappealing at this point.

I hope this is good. I think this can work for the family market and to get something a bit more original out is needed. I just hope it turns out good.

Patrick Willems did a good video recently charting the career trajectories of Dwane Johnson and Reynolds. 
 

TL;DW: Reynolds is probably trapped in snark mode because his other business ventures are heavily reliant on that persona for their marketing. Essentially, too much money is at stake for him to pivot to being a serious, well-rounded actor because he’s now defined as a ‘disruptive’ entrepreneur who doesn’t take himself seriously(see the ads for his gin and mint mobile)
