There are film programmers, box office analytics, etc, who use BOM to check stuff. And now they've pretty much shot themselves in the foot, went over to IMDB Pro, without any warning whatsoever.

Well, apparently BOM (IMDB actually) has made box office less fun to follow, because only 2 people have voted so far this week in the Most Anticipated Films thread.

If you still care about movies despite BOM, feel free to post your top 10. That is, if you can even figure out how to use their new calendar to see which movies are coming out in the next 12 months.

BOM isn’t a separate entity and hasn’t been for years. They’re wholly owned by Amazon.

 Yes. This very forum exists because IMDB blew away the Mojo forums... in 2011. But we kinda forgot the longer-term implications of that — the writing was on the wall, we just ignored it (understandably).

The problem is they aren't accurate.  They're not up to date, especially for smaller films but even AEG's WW numbers aren't up to date.
