Frozen II 971m OS 1.44B WW

Recommended Posts

its hilarious people are saying 1.4B as disappointment or unfortunate. IMO Its doing amazing WW. Domestic run during thanksgiving week was amazing and its going to probably hit F1 adjusted. OS has been really strong almost everywhere. I dont think it has disappointed anywhere. Even China did way better than what china folks said after initial screening.

Yeah, it's going to beat the first film DOM, OS, and WW. More than I could have expected. I predicted $1.3 billion WW for the contest, which I already considered slightly optimistic on my end (I expected OS to have a decent drop from the first film).

I won't be disappointed with $1.4B because that's inline with my prediction. But if it grosses less than that, I'll find it to be underwhelming.

I'm actually torn. Part of me wanted to Out gross the original by as much as possible, because the more it makes the more likely we are to get a franchise continuation, probably a third movie and many other things. But Another Part Of Me wanted it to be a little less. Somewhere in that magic range where they don't really want to make another movie, but it's still plenty profitable enough to encourage them to do something else, like an animated TV series. I mean they just expanded the world greatly and gave us a lot of new characters, I would love a TV series to explore those things.

That's probably not going to happen, as the magic range going by Big Hero 6 and Tangled seemed to be 500 to 700 million dollars for TV series follow up.

no matter what the Frozen franchise will continue in some manner. I expected the time skip with movie 2, but I don't really want another time skip, I want to see what happens next!

If frozen 2 outgrosses frozen 1, lets say 1.3-1.4 billion dollars, do you guys think we can get frozen 3? Or the franchise is done with movies?

i think frozen 2 expanded the mythology amd could pottentially lead to a third film. And if son are we waiting more than 5 years or less?

At this point I'd be VERY surprised if there were not a Frozen 3. While there won't be an official announcement for quite some time, members of the cast and creative team have expressed their love for the Frozen characters and sound genuinely interested in continuing their story and expanding the Frozen universe. Also doesn't hurt than the Frozen brand continues to bring in oodles of money for Disney.

Why get 2 more hours of content with a Frozen 3 when I could get 20 more hours of content with a couple seasons on D+ instead 🤤

I think that would be awesome, but it would also be cool to get a trilogy
