So Happy about this.  Loved his concept art.  I mean why would FOX say no to him? He wrote a treatment and did some concept art so a lot of the work was done for them to say Yes.   Him being a good up and coming sci-fi director helps.  So Prometheus 2 first then Alien 5.  So we are looking at 2017 and 2018.  The Alien Franchise is back!

They could move Captain Underpants to August 2017 if they wanted to slot another live action film into the Spring.

Captain Underpants doesn't actually have an official date, contrary to what BOM claims. The DreamWorks press release said it was coming out in 2017 but specified no date. And Fox never announced the March 10 date either. I have no idea where BOM got their info.

That said, could this Alien film even be ready for 2017?
