some useful comparisons:

Doctor Strange - A

Lincoln - A

Miss Sloane - A-

Steve Jobs - A-

Men in Black 3 - B+

Arrival - B

Body of Lies - B-

Safe to say it will play as a mix of Miss Sloane and Arrival

Alrighty so let’s get the cards out on the table. We’re looking at $190-200M OW and probably 2.2-2.3x legs. OS will open to about $270M and probably pull off slightly better legs (maybe 2.5x?). All in we’re looking at $1.04-1.14B.

Time to move on to Thor 🥹

chance it misses the billie?

it's the list of films you need to watch to fully understand why audiences are erupting with cheers at the "with" credit at the end

The weirdest B+ Cinemascore is still Bridesmaids. It had LEGS and the public ate it up. Was it the raunchiness?

B+ for Comedy is basically an A for normal films.

This might be a lie, but I remember hearing/reading about Latinos being the demographic that goes to the movies the most. So maybe that's Sony's reasoning here. But yeah Bad Bunny is huuuuuuge.

WB had credited Latinos for Suicide Squad success and turning up to support El Diablo in a public statement, so maybe Sony is not that crazy after all. El Muerto's majorly a star vehicle based on a character who might as well be original.

Yeah feel pretty confident MOM will be the lowest grossing MCU film this year.

Somewhere I read that El Muerto basically appears in only like two comics.

I have a sinking feeling this movie may just.......be brushed under the rug.
