As long as Puss passes 100M total, I’ll be happy at this point.

I think it will do that pretty easily. Maybe 120M (could be more) is more likely. Sing (same calender release in 2016 as Rogue One v AV2 we are all using as comps ) dropped 52% in 3rd weekend. I think Puss will hold a lot better than that and be 10M in 3rd weekend. Better received/ WOM and less competition than Sing.

I am kinda depressed Universal pushed forward the PVOD date for Puss in Boots toward January 6th. It could harm PiB international Box Office and it's chances of getting to 300M worldwide. Why can't Universal understand this is a leggy movie? Please Universal, your film is great and should be seen on the big screen.

Sing 2 was launched in PVOD on January 7th...

Because it opened under $50M for the weekend, which means a 17-day window per Universal's contracts this year. I can't really blame them because of the instant gratification era we're now living in. It's either opening weekend or streaming for most audiences these days.

Is the 50M opening weekend thing really something Universal puts in their contracts? That's pretty dumb to me. The 50M benchmark I only assume is domestic and not worldwide.

Also the Bad Guys released on PVOD the 21st day not the 17th. What's up with that?

Possibly. Could mean a myriad of things. If I was to make a guess it would probably be slipping on ice and hitting his head.

Many fatal accidents happen that way. One wrong move and enough bad luck with the fall - and it can be really criticial for you.

Thankfully, we are about ready to rehaul some of the reaction faces, so we’ll put a sarcasm floating head. I actually think that’s a great suggestion.
