Favorite of the 2022 Best Picture Nominees

Mine at the moment:

 

1. Everything Everywhere All at Once

2. Top Gun: Maverick

3. The Banshees of Inisherin

4. The Fabelmans

5. Avatar: The Way of Water

6. Elvis

 

Planning to see all of Tar (on Peacock), Triangle of Sadness, and Women Talking (both in theaters) over this upcoming weekend.

Banshees and All Quiet are my two favorite movies of the year. Everything Everywhere and Top Gun are also top ten for me. Wasn't crazy about the Fabelmans or Avatar. Tar and Triangle of Sadness are on my watchlist, not particularly interested in Elvis or Women Talking.

The first note I wrote down while watching it was "It's a SIN that this went to streaming." I would definitely love to see it in a theater.

top 3 is great, the rest range from fine to very good. Strong year overall, no real duds imo unless Women Talking is somehow really bad.
