Moana dropped -34,4% on 3rd we, and -31,3% on RO opening we (4th we). 

Then -39,4% on Christmas we (5th we) and then +42,4% on New Year we (6th we)

Good Dinosaur absolutely collapsed against TFA, though. Don't think that will happen to Coco but I don't think it will hold as well as Moana either.

Not to mention Ferdinand is also coming out with pretty good reviews. A drop in the mid-40s is what I'm going with.

Saw it.

 

Tough. This was a tough movie. The skeleton related humour didn’t move me, it’s played out. Some stuff with the bad guy towards the end is straight up rehashed from other films, a lot of tropes. Frankly the humour in general wasn’t great, but it wasn’t awful or anything, and when a good joke lands it lands.

But when this movie comes to play you feel that shit. You get moved by it. I got chills watching this thing, man. I didn’t cry because I ain’t no bitch or nothing, but I felt shit and I don’t normally feel shit. The shit’s just nice. It’s a nice fucking film. It’s nice. It’s a good film. When the shit starts doing what it came here to do you start to feel shit and I liked feeling that shit.

I have lost faith in SW failing to grab the attention of domestic audiences, I mean, it's long been the same old, but for some reason, it's immune to suffering the same fate of other franchises, at least domestically, it seems infallible. worldwide, that might be another story.

But yes, it will do less than TFA, much less.
