I was the one saying film was getting darker and darker earlier in this post. I'm glad to know that these filmmakers do realize the weight of horrid moments in film.

I don't necessarily buy that people forgot about the embargo. It is, generally speaking, the most anticipated film coming out until Thor. This IS an event.

This wouldn't be so alarming if WB didn't literally just do this with Annabelle. I still think It is going to be fresh, but the lack of reactions is a bit eyebrow-raising. 

 

Anyways, I'm done ranting about that right now before things get really heated.

It was sitting at 100% on RT until the week of release with about 15 reviews. These reviews came from as early as June 19. The RT score dropped a lot throughout the week and went as low as 65%. A similar thing happened with Blair Witch last year, though it fared MUCH worse once more critics saw it. RLM brought this up in their AC review.
