AniNate
Would be very pleased to see Blue Sky finally put out a classic. They've always had the technical merits but have been stuck in creative mediocrity. And if this is a hit I imagine the franchise is going to get a significant ancillary boost
Harpospoke
Cool to hear good early reactions. I want a Snoopy tattoo
FlashMaster659
Variety and HR have posted reviews and they also have praised it.
cookie
2 fresh (Variety and THR) and 1 rotten (Screen International) on RT so far.
goldenstate5
http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/the_peanuts_movie/ Currently 60%. Scott Mendelson hated it but just read the review, his reasoning is kind of hilarious and unique. Read a bit like that one negative IO review where the dude complained that it made him "too depressed for a kids flick", but a bit more intentionally funny. I'm guessing with those twitter reactions, it'll shoot up to 80-90% within the week's end.
goldenstate5
Um, also there are ZERO Thursday night showings for it, at least in my area. (Las Vegas) That's really odd. Almost all wide-releases have them.

goldenstate5
I'm guessing they don't see the value in them for kids flicks. I was on vaca during HT2, interesting to hear. I want to see it now simply because of that "Lego movie" good reaction. That's a pretty bold claim to make.
MovieMan89
Damn, that 4/10 average rating is awfully disturbing. Yes I know it's because only one review has a score so far, but even still that's a terrible sign that there's already a review that bad for it. filmscholar
I'm so excited. Having my Charlie Brown marathon this week. The Year of Nostaliga continues. Also Blue Sky has done a fantastic marketing job espeically with that "Make Yourself A Peanuts Character" viral thing.
DAJK
I'm excited to see where this ends up on RT. From those reactions it was looking like a 90% movie but I'm glad there's a bit of splitting among critics. I mean, I'm obviously hoping for it to be amazing. He's the only one to give it a score so far
