So, in France, the movie completely bombs.

Only 24,860 admissions on its first day, and only 82,584 admissions on the first 5 days, on a wide release of 415 cinemas.

 

The movie gets destroyed by The Jungle Book, which has 13 times more admissions (over a million) with 653 cinemas. It even failed to be in the top 10 movies.

 

Even Zootopia, which released 9 weeks ago, is ahead of Ratchet & Clank.

Cause I'd assume we'd at least get some reviews and whatnot if the movie were out in some parts of the world already, like with Zootopia.

I kinda do. And I'm somewhat curious to see if reviews actually peg it as watchable if not good, even though I know they won't because video game movies and fuck what I like.

 

God, I hope Assassin's Creed finally puts the VG movie curse to misery.

Official numbers. The movie is out since April 13 in France.

Here's a link (in French) that shows the 5-day box-office.

 

Oh, and the french reviews aren't that good either. It's a movie that pleases to fans, but it looks bland and uninspired for non-fans of the games.

 

I'm pretty sure it will be under 40% on RT.

Oh, okay, thanks then. Hey, at least it's a fan pleaser. That's a step up for VG movies. More than shit like Doom, Hitman, and pretty much any piece of shit not called Mortal Kombat was capable of (though I did hear decent things about Lara Croft Tomb Raider and Silent Hill).
