I doubt Chris Pratt does this no matter much the Internet wants him to. Major/lead roles in three huge (HUGE) franchises at the same time is overkill for any actor (and his Indiana Jones would basically be Star Lord with a whip anyway so there's no element of surprise). Plus it would tie up his schedule too much from doing other projects he would probably like to do.

 

I think if they're going to go the protégé route they will take a page from the Marvel/J.J. Abrams playbook and cast someone who doesn't have any notable baggage. Obviously it didn't work out with Shia (who was hardly an unknown at the time but then went on and sabotaged his career all on his own), but I could see them going with someone like one of the younger Big Short guys (Finn Wittrock, John Magaro) or Hail Caesar's Alden Ehrenreich. But that's if they go the route of passing-the-torch.

Harrison Ford is too old but if this gets made, please let this be it. No more Indiana Jones. Harrison Ford IS Indiana Jones. The character should retire with him. Start a new franchise from scratch or just adapt the Uncharted series with a new actor.

Extremely excited but somewhat worried due to the film that should not be named.  Hopefully, Spielberg has learned and this can be Harrison Ford's beautiful swan song as Indy.
