Weekend Estimates: One Direction-17M, Butler-14.74M, WTM-12.61M

Recommended Posts

I's not surprising how frontloaded One Direction movie is. They could debut a song in the top 3 of the Billboard Hot 100 but the next week it crashes to 20s.

Who would of thought this month would be on top? And the fact that the only 100M grosser barley made it in is pretty interesting. That is what happens when you have tons of new releases though.

Whoa.

I was stunned when it did 1.9 according to the Friday #s ... a nearly 4 weekend multiplier off that makes it even crazier.

That per theater average.

I see me attending the double feature helped WWZ cross 200 million.  Good ... I enjoyed it, much more than I would have imagined based on the initial buzz of the film over the last year or so.

... and good for Pacific Rim hitting 100 million ... should have done more, but whatever.
