Hilderic
Why is the BOM OS estimate consistently $1-2m lower? Are they forgetting some country?

TalismanRing
Why is the BOM OS estimate consistently $1-2m lower? Are they forgetting some country? Fox counts Puerto Rico twice . It includes it in it's Domestic Total and it's Int'l reporting total. Mojo is the only B.O. site that subtracts one for the correct WW total.

terrestrial
Forbes, article includes also the studios press release: DreamWorks Animation's How to Train Your Dragon 2 has officially crossed $500 million worldwide. To wit, the film debuted in China with a strong $5.6m opening day, which was enough to push the critically-acclaimed animated sequel over the half-billion dollar mark in global grosses. As of today, the film has earned $170.6m domestic and $331.2m overseas since debuting in mid-June of this summer. Also of note, it has thus surpassed 20th Century Fox's Rio 2 ($496m) and Warner Bros.’ (Time Warner , Inc.) The LEGO Movie ($468m) worldwide to become the biggest-grossing animated film of 2014.One hand, both films were noticeably cheaper than the $145m-budgeted sequel, with Rio 2 costing $103m and The LEGO Movie costing $60m to produce. One the other hand, the film’s opening day in China is basically equal to the opening weekend of The Croods, which earned $6.3m on its debut weekend back in March 2013 and went on to earn $63m in China. We’ll have a better idea of where the film may end up in terms of overall Chinese box office totals by the end of the weekend. http://www.forbes.com/sites/scottmendelson/2014/08/15/box-office-how-to-train-your-dragon-2-crosses-500m-worldwide-following-china-debut/

Fake
Let's see if it can reach 600m. It's not impossible, but China will need to do 75m+.
Omni
It needs just a little more than 420M to reach 600M. It was at 320M on Monday, coming from a week above 20M. It still has Italy (opening this weekend) so even with Japan out of the game, 60M from China should be enough. And it looks to be a likely finish.
keysersoze123
600M is not bad. it however does not make up for crappy domestic run. it appears dreamworks still does not have a uber blockbuster global franchise like ice age/ despicable me after Shrek 2/3.

How much would it have to make to be counted as one? 600m WW is more than triple it's budget.
