A 45 million opening weekend while impressive for 300: ROAE, is not something I would call "huge".

 

True, but compared to what most of us expected, it is huge.

45M is great since people were expecting 20M opening weekend. Also it is a good opening compared to the budget. This will be a financial success

Bad drop for The Lego Movie.  It is still making a ton of money but I think I was spoiled by Frozen's amazing run.  Speaking of which...

That's impressive considering the expectations, the budget and the international gross to come.

Though 300 is 255m adjusted without 3D. So there's a feeling that money has definitely been left on the table.

RoboCop will end with 250M+ WW. Sony was smart to delay it from August to this year. Same goes for WB with the massive success of 300.

LOL Frozen has been on Amazon instant watch for 2 weeks now and the DVD is coming out this week. I don't think anything is stopping it's theater run. Obviously it's a movie people enjoy watching in the theaters.

 

It's really impossible to know what Frozen will continue to do

 

My AMC is still has 5/6 shows/day on weekends. I popped in for the end of one of the morning shows yesterday and there were more people there then there was for my Lego show I had just watched.  Most seemed to be 1st timers.
