If avatar 2 makes more than avatar one than I go to admit: James cameron is the greatest marketeer even on eart. Oh no he doesn't come close to best director but If he does I ll write my paper about him.

Well I haven't heard much from sequel.  But I think its going to be more underwater setting?  So it be like The Abyss meets Avatar 1.

I do have a similar opinion, my only worry is that in today's culture things seem to have a much shorter lifespan, probably more so in entertainment, which may make it harder for avatar 2.

Still, people turned out for dumb and dumber after what, 2 decades? So of course it may not affect avatar 2.

Will this be in regular 3D or will this be in 3DD?  We need more movies in 3DD as far as I'm concerned.

Ohh, what a surprise... They didn't even start working on pre-viz etc. so I'd be surprised if they'll start filming before Nov '15. Then A1 filming took 3 months... IMHO even Xmas '17 are very, very, very optimistic.

Oh they finally officially delayed it? Good, that December 2016 date was ridiculous.

 

Though I wouldn't be surprised at all, and I'm almost expecting it to, if it didn't get released until 2018 or later, honestly.

If they released it in 2020 they could come up with some marketing about the most advanced 3d movie ever. Call it 2020 Vision 3D or something similar.
