So, I've never much cared for this film, teaser was fine but still meh on it, you know? Then I've watched this trailer and I really enjoyed it, so I come here expecting to find everyone excited about it and I find people whining about humor of all things. I think "what the fuck" and proceed to watch the trailer again and yup, I still really enjoy it.

You guys are nuts. Is humor the new cool thing to hate on? Cause I'm starting to see a trend.

its WB wanting to be marvel!!!11

Seriously, I haven't seen a Marvel or DC movie since Guardians of the Galaxy and the humor, though not great, didn't really stick out like to me, it just felt like "movie".

If this movie has lots of monster madness or even just 1 good character, which Godzilla had none of, thats a huge win.

I guess Jackson's King Kong will remain the best King Kong.

Very possible

SOLD!

This has an 80's action extravaganza feel to it.  Great looking cast, great looking monster, comedy and a fantastic musical score.  This looks so much better than Godzilla.  Looks terrific imo.

Henry Jackman tho :(

Got the trailer at Fantastic Beasts, preferred the teaser but it looks very good. Cinematography still the MVP

All of the previous Kong films have had strong scores. Jackman's work will definitely be seen as a huge downgrade, and I'm not sure anyone will call it great.

Jackson's King Kong was one of the best blockbusters of the 00s IMO. I hope this is at least half as good.

I don't know about that. It had its merits for sure but I got fed up with the overload of bloated CGI action scenes at Skull Island. Dinosaurs! Bugs! More dinosaurs! Water dinosaurs!

Such a pity that Jackson has become so addicted to lazy CGI fests in lieu of genuine thrills. The Hobbit trilogy was even worse on that regard. Meanwhile, the balance of character, story and action was great in the LOTR trilogy.
