I would look at its wednesday relative to its OD. Its already slightly lower. Rise 1st weekdays were during August 2nd week when weekdays start to get weaker. It increased > 84% on friday. Dawn will be lucky to increase even half that number in mid of july. So a bigger drop is locked at this point.

Yesterday's jump was so great so it's normal for today's drop to be quite big, isn't it? It can still have a good hold this weekend.

I don't see anything unusual here - I think most of the openers have dropped in the 30% range on their first Wednesday. Apes is just lucky it had the unusual Tuesday bump to help it out.

WWZ(mid June) was 6.2m on Wed, 5.6m on Thu and had a 29.8m 2nd weekend.

Similar trajectory will give Apes a ~32m weekend (-56%).

So Apes will probably drop 55% or more this weekend. I was hoping for a drop not too much over 50% but oh well.

Rise dropped 49%. An original like Maleficent dropped 50% (it even increased on it's 1st Saturday and had a 68% drop on 1st Monday as opposed to Dawn's 58% - so had weaker weekdays). So 55%+ was always on cards for Dawn. Even CA2 dropped 57% without summer weekdays. Anything from 55-59% is not surprising.
