kaijukurt
Blomkamp thinks he's the new Verhoeven with his attempts at "satiristical social commentary" coming from a frat dudebro but he's just the Afrikaner's Zach Snyder at the core gleefully blowing shit up in slomo because it looks cool and awesome. He's a one trick pony (His schtick of making a sleek VFX showcase against real shanty backgrounds as a shallow canvas to his simplistic and trite "poor chaps vs nasty rich corporates" narrative that sounds hollow because he got nothing relevant to say. It's just a cartoony pretext for his hardcore gamer sensibility). I smelled the bullshit that he was all style/no substance ever since D9. Woah. I don't agree with you but this is some well-written shit right here.

Harpospoke
D9...meh. Never quite got what was supposed to be so special about it. I liked it ok I guess. The lead actor had zero charisma imo. Seemed like the kind of guy who would play the 3rd friend at the office.
langer
I'm looking forward to this sequel. I'm probably one of the 13 persons that like the first one.
Amadeus
I'm looking forward to this sequel. I'm probably one of the 13 persons that like the first one. Maybe not as creative from a storytelling perspective as The Phantom Menace, but thousand times more hansom it is.

EllissonWatson
Saldana is already there with Avatar, she might not be able to carry a movie on her own that is why she would have Jolie for support.

Blomkamp took to Twitter minutes ago to relay the news.
The Futurist
Well, not surprising, Ridley just delivered a smash for Fox and two movies with the Alien brand sounded like a giant clusterfuck which Prometheus is already.
CoolioD1
I've been on 'reluctant district 9 sequel announcement from blomkamp' watch for a while now. this'll quicken the process.

WrathOfHan
Filming starts in February: http://www.ign.com/articles/2015/11/11/ridley-scott-says-prometheus-sequels-will-reveal-who-created-aliens “I’m trying to keep this for myself. I let the other one [Alien] get away from me – I shouldn’t have… I’m trying to re-resurrect the beast and let if off the hook for a while because I’m coming back into the back-end of Alien 1. I’m gradually getting to Alien 1." “Prometheus 2 will start getting shot in February and I’ve already begun now so I know what the script is. Then there will be another one after that and then maybe we’ll back into Alien 1, as to why? Who would make such a dreadful thing?”
