Damn it, Brazil thread is a shithole, so hard to dig up some useful information. Edit: I think its biggest OD of this year, bigger than BVS OD excluding previews.Need confirmation. Also " the biggest opening of 2016 in Brazilian theaters " (original: O longa teria feito R$8,7 milhões, com 531 mil pagantes, e com isso torna-se a maior abertura de 2016 nos cinemas brasileiros, superando Os Dez Mandamentos (R$6,8 milhões). ) Edited April 29, 2016 by Pypa94

Purple Minion
Go Mexico! Mojo: Captain America: Civil War opened yesterday in an additional 8 international markets to take the total number opened to date to 38 territories. The film continues to place at #1 in all markets as its three-day total is now $84 million, tracking on par with Avengers: Age of Ultron in the same suite of markets. New releases in key markets include $7.3 million in Mexico, #1 industry opening day of all-time beating Ultron's previous record. In the UK the film opened #1 with $7 million, +33% ahead of Ultron and more than double Iron Man 3. In Japan it brought in $2.8 million, more than double Iron Man 3 and not comparable to Ultron, which opened on a Saturday.

Mojo... IM3's opening friday wasn't a holiday unlike CW's friday. They mention how you can't compare CW's friday to Ultron's saturday but go on to make an even more absurd comparison (holiday friday is bigger than saturday in Japan). Sam
Early articles say the movie to open in 61 territories this weekend, so more markets to come. Good chance for 150M+ up to Satuday? And Sunday is May Day/Labor Day, so we could see a soft drop. 200M looking good I think.

Heretic
UK number is massive! Heading for biggest superhero opening ever, and one of the biggest ever 4 day openings including Monday. Similar numbers to JW, which made $100m.

Both Taiwan and the Philippines have grossed $3.8 million in three days. http://variety.com/2016/film/news/box-office-captain-america-civil-war-international-1201763951/
Cynosure
CW's saturday in Japan (per Corpse) : 45% behind Avengers: Age of Ultron17% ahead of The Amazing Spider-Man 212% ahead of Batman vs Superman: Dawn of Justice Using these three comparisons, we get an early weekend range of ~¥425-475 million for Captain America: Civil War. This range also puts it a bit higher than Iron Man 3 (¥414 million), but also a little below The Amazing Spider-Man (¥580 million) and The Avengers (¥500 million). And needless to say, the opening will be above the previous Captain America films by enormous margins (maybe over 500% higher than the first film; and over 200% higher than the second). The solo MCU films, Iron Man 3 aside, have all be big disappointments in the market. Edited April 30, 2016 by Cynosure

Daxtreme
Amazing numbers, guess this really is not behaving like a Cap movie. In fact, it's behaving like an Avengers sequel, but as if it was coming out of TA, not AoU
