Its a great number for MM2 METHINKS. I see around 60m for the Wed-Sun period.

But that opened on Friday. 

It's the beginning of a long holiday weekend in the US. Everyone will be distracted by picnics and fireworks on Saturday.

 

That seems fine for Magic Mike. This one didn't have the "OMG A MALE STRIPPER MOVIE STARRING HOLLYWOOD HOTTIES!" angle going for it and it seemed on paper to be a largely unnecessary sequel to a film that was a one-and-done, but the budget apparently was not much higher than the $7M for the first one, so either way, it's in terrific shape financially.

Hmmm, I'm thinking it's pretty shoddy and won't do well at all this weekend... I'm sensing a Blu-Ray/DVD announce date next week followed by the announcement of T6 and T7 being on NETFLIX..

My expectations are low. The buzz has been very negative

Yeah, the early signs form Latin America are good and Im guessing Asia will also provide nice numbers so if it opens to round 60m for the 5 day weekend it should be fine.

Im at first show in Imax for TG is about 60% full. Pretty busy forc1130 AM

I'm also seeing TG at 11:30, but for me that's still over 2 1/2 hours away. Looking at the seating chart it's roughly 40% full. Magic Mike also has an 11:30 show and only 27 seats sold so far.

 

At least I have time to finish watching T2 which just happened to be on TV this morning.
