The DC universe is a huge box office success but likely could be a greater one if the films were better.

BVS had the worst multiplier ever for a movie with over 100m ow. The loss is in the potential.

 

An first time grouping like SS would have performed like GOTG with good wom. Due to bad wom, SS won't even come close to GOTG even after opening 42 percent bigger. The release dates are similar and the legs comparison is apt. There is a huge loss od potential due to SS being a bad movie.

 

See what happens to GOTG2 and SS2, if there is one. GOTG2 is likely to increase big time and SS2 is likely to decrease respectively from their originals.

There are markets with great multiplers. It just seems those are smaller ones.

 

Maybe DC films aren't as crowd pleasing as Marvel but there are some who like it.

 

And a movie hasn't to be bad to fall fast: If all the die-hard fans going to see the movie soon - and the others are being scared of by bad press - than there aren't that much people left to watch it.

 

I like DC for being not as funny (silly) as Marvel many do not - it seems.

If SS is on the plus side of 350 coming out of this weekend then 400plus isn't out of reach.

I Personally think it's gonna end up with 385mil but hoping your 410 is where it ends up.

There's still Japan and the flim could pull anywhere from 10mil-16mil there.
