A tad below ROTJ but that could change with subsequent viewings. Very, very good SW film. Impressed! No pressure Rian Johnson.

It may fluctuate a bit. but right now.. this sounds worse than I mean it do, but probably 5th. right below ANH

1.The Empire Strikes Back A+

2.Return of the Jedi A+

3.Revenge of the Sith A+

4.A New Hope A+

5.The Force Awakens A or A+

(significant gap)

6.Attack of the Clones B+

7.The Phantom Menace B+

In terms of ambition it's dead last, in terms of quality for me it's tied with ROTS for #4.

Right now at as good as the originally trilogy but vastly better than the prequels.

Quality wise it's I guess about equal with Episode 6.

pretty easy fourth. if i was gonna be an asshole about it I'd throw a prequel or two ahead of it because they've got more interesting ideas. Check back when the blu's out.

Yeah, #3 or #4 for me, touch and go with JEDI. Conceptually, it's actually doing much more interesting things than JEDI was, so that might give it the edge right now.

Yeah I am stuck between 3 and 4 as well.  Over time, it may become third on its own

Over 50% of respondents rank TFA among the top 3 Star Wars films. A same proportion I've seen elsewhere. Nice!  :jedi: :wiggle:

Same here. 3/4th..not sure. I may have to re-watch ROTJ. I think ultimately TFA will settle just below ROTJ. The highlights of ROTJ are among the very best in all of Star Wars and the score is far better.

After 2nd watch:

ESB- 10/10

ANH - 10/10

TFA - 8.5/10

ROTJ - 8/10

ROTS - 5/10

AOTC - 4/10

TPM - 3/10

Very close to ROTJ, but I give the edge for now to TFA.  Both have major problems, stemming mostly from standard plots, but both work extremely well on an emotional level, plus they are both fun as hell.
