An art film.

An experimental concept.

A movie not designed to make money.

Never forget these words of wisdom regarding FUCKING BATMAN VS. SUPERMAN DIRECTED BY FUCKING ZACK SNYDER.

Right, because Watchmen and Sucker Punch made so much money and were so fully embraced by audiences...

WB just wants to let the guy bring his vision to the world, if they really wanted to make the most money possible with these movies they wouldn't hire this guy AND let him do what he wanted with it.

The truth is big openers don't tend to hold to regular weekday patterns and we don't have enough big March openers for there to be good reference points here. People are going to keep mentioning Hunger Games and Furious 7 cuz that's all we've got but, as we all know, fanboy event movies tend to behave differently. Just gotta play this one by ear

I agree, especially since Easter's date changes so radically from year to year. For example, BvS theoretically has more time for solid late legs to develop since it opened 6 weeks before the start of summer movie season, while FF7 opened 4 weeks before summer.

Errr

Both Watchmen and SP were made to please audiences...

Snyder's vision should be hidden to the world.

Even Uwe Boll would have made a better BvS movie :P

With some of these guys it's hard to tell. They're either really, really, really committed to their irony or super crazy. Maybe it started out as irony and developed into something else, or vice versa

If you make yourself more than just a man, if you devote yourself to an ideal and if they can't stop you, you become something else entirely -- legend, Chewy.

This is like when you get a boner but it's wrong and you shouldn't given the people you're referring to

Not cool on using the Nolan quote

Watchmen was alright but it was made as nothing more than a visually strong crowd pleaser. And the only thing that's artful about Sucker Punch is how badly it tanked, because it deepthroated a shitdick as whatever it was, popcorn flick or "art film" according to you and any Snyder fans/diehards/trolls/who cares.

Why would WB let this guy bring his vision to the world if his vision is supposedly not commercially viable? You think that directors are just given second chances post the failure of their films like that, son? WB only let Snyder in simply because he had the luck of being handpicked by Nolan, who enjoyed what he did w/Watchmen and 300. Too bad that Chris didn't notice that Snyder's vision for what Superman, Batman and the other characters of the DCverse that he says he loves isn't exactly.... good.
