sunset boulevard is a terrible musical. one of ALW's worst and that's saying something. i think glenn close needs to rethink her Oscar tactics. she should try acting in Good Movies.

Nope. Nope. Sunset Blvd is his best. It is his magna opus to his over produced, overtly complicated, bombastic dumpster fire aesthetic.

Who would have been a good director for this?

Whoever would have actually been brave enough to use CGI cats and not

DiGiTaL fUr TeChNoLoGy

. . . .

With that being said, please, PLEASE, for the love of God, don't let the director CGI cat faces on human bodies.

Jesus Christ superstar is legit good. That’s the only one. Cats is fun tho because it is Cats.

"Evita" say Hi. That was also legit good.

But yeah, I have not been the impressed by a lot Llloyd Webber's work. "Phantom Of the Opera" was wildly overrated.

Baz.

I think he would  have had a better chance of pulling this off then any other director.

But I am still skeptic that Cats would work on film no matter who the director. Too much a creature of the live stage.
