Bad Moms is opening with close to 30 million with Kunis as the only "name" in the cast?? Imagine what it would have done with Sandra Bullock, Cameron Diaz, and Jennifer Aniston in the lead roles!!!

Of those only Free State of Jones really tanked for them because the budget even with sharing financing and they marketed it far more heavily than the others.

 

 STX mitigates exposure by selling foreign rights. Hardcore Henry cost about $2-3m post foreign sales.

But critics, many of whom don't make a lot money, would say no to 10k, and Disney wouldn't dare to protect a $300m investment. Because corporations have  integrity about their movies but have 10 year olds working in sweatshops to save a buck on a product they sell for $100

 

Some of them are getting paid.

You saw the big short.

Moodys a 100 year old respected corp gave great ratings on a trillion dollars worth of CDSs that were junk, for a fee.
