Variety's numbers are a bit better.  Look like estimated 4 day totals but more blech numbers for the holdovers

“Don’t Breathe” should take in more than the combined number for the launches of Michael Fassbender-Alicia Vikander’s drama The Light Between Oceans,” with about $6 million at a relatively modest 1,500 locations, and Luke Scott’s sci-fi thrillerMorgan,” with around $5 million at 2,020 sites.

The horror-thriller was dominating business on Friday with a projected $3.5 million. The opening days of Disney’s “Light” and Fox’s “Morgan” were both heading for around $1.4 million — and in a telling signal of the muted prospects for both new titles, neither studio held the usual preview showings on Thursday night.

Suicide Squad : $10m 4 day

PD & Kubo contending with the newcomers.

Ugh   That's a hideous drop for Don't Breath over a a holiday w/e.

It will probably go up some - but honestly, a 14m 4-day isn't bad for a Horror film on it's second weekend. Even one with good reviews.

That being said, I really believe the 3 day will be closer to 12.5-13

It's pretty bad when Sunday acts almost like another Saturday.   Drops this Labor Day w/e look poor all around though compared to the usual for the holiday

Around $12.5 for 3 days is where Variety seems to have it.

Morgan just ruining the horror genre. Horror was having a fantastic summer with all the films headed to $100M+ WW and with all of them but The Purge getting really good reviews and then Morgan had to happen. A turd critically and a turd financially. Can the horror genre just disown it?

Fun fact: Morgan is sci-fi, not horror.
