Boo Yeah! R1 with the lowest drop among the wide releases! As I said before, maybe the "sub-legs" will kick in now. Now that it's experienced it's big post-holiday drops, maybe it's back to being a really leggy movie.

Star Wars never really just peters out, after all. It'll continue to squeeze millions of dollars out from NA, who just can't get enough of it.

I think RO will have a sub 10% drop on Thursday because it is losing the Imax screens to XXX. I Wish I am wrong!!! ;)

I admire Jonathan for finding the time to see a movie that many times in a pretty short calendar period. I went to see Singin' In The Rain last night and it was an awesome movie. I'm glad my first experience with it was on the big screen. But generally I don't like seeing films at the movie theater on work nights. Usually I just want to chill at home after work.

I saw Singing in the Rain last night too!  My mom and I saw La La Land and she wanted to see it.  It's my first time seeing the whole movie as well, although I've seen clips here and there.  I really enjoyed it!  Mind you it had some of those 'Hollywood tropes' people selectively care about....

Singing in the Rain is a great one! An all time classic for sure.

I agree many times it's tough to want to see a movie after a work day even though I work from home. Sometimes I just want to not go anywhere and play video games (like last night) or watch Netflix. My GF talks me out of a fair number of viewings ha ha like Monday. "Just hang out with me!" Ok ok, can't say no to that.

Funny thing in my case is the movie theater is about 30 seconds from my apartment, so it's probably not that much different than watching stuff at home. But generally I don't really watch movies during the week either. Tend to goof off on the Internet with the TV on in the background.

Most times I ever saw a movie in theater was the original Jurassic Park with a record of 5 times. Of course, that was a much different time when movies would play for much longer and when I didn't see anywhere nearly as many movies in theaters as I do now.

Underworld hopefully can manage another $400K+ for today giving it $27m that would be nice going into the weekend.

Depending on theater drops maybe do another $3m to hit $30m, which for UW:BW is going to be a good thing.

Oh god, it's gonna do horrible. Most of the theaters that were showing it last weekend around me are already cutting showtimes starting tomorrow.

My AMC is getting it but it's only for two showings a day and sharing the smallest auditorium with Live By Night.

Most theaters around me are putting those two in the same auditorium, theater drops will be ugly next weekend. Silence isn't even making $10M in total at this point even if it somehow surprises on Tuesday.

Wow. Passengers is losing a lot.

I kind of thought it might be, since I'm having to go to Burbank to see it again this weekend.

Oh well.  I guess we'll see Monday how that plays out....

--

Hm, @Finnick your numbering of the order is a little odd. So Passengers is number 10, not 11?

Next weekend will clearly be LLL's big expansion. I guess that's what Lionsgate has been waiting for. Luckily for them, LLL has become a sort of mini-phenomenon and has never lost momentum. Lionsgate's strategy actually may pay off, even if it was mostly in spite of themselves.

Ranked 10 today and 11 yesterday. They put today rank and yesterday rank for each movie.
