WW is a good example that you can be successful coming off a film with toxic WoM. WW is not a good example because 1) Marvel/DC have much bigger fanbase 2) Wonder Woman has a $725 million WW ceiling which is pretty much the par score for a well-reviewed Marvel movie like Doctor Strange so bad reviews have definitely taken a toll on DCEU. That's because you factored in one of MCU's most successful solo movies, Doctor strange ($677m) made more money than 7 of the 9 MCU solo films, only 2 movies made more than Doctor Stranger on the MCU solo movies. and both are sequels (Iron Man 3 and Winter soldier). and the MCU are obviously a much more familiar brand, they have already made 15 films, DCEU has only 4, BVS and Suicide Squad may have hurt the success of Wonder Woman a bit, but not much. And Wonder Woman is the first sucessful female lead superhero movie , something unheard of so far Edited June 11, 2017 by bruchav

picores
Counting with 80m from China....it's hard to see it under 300m OS. Edge of Tomorrow made 269m OS with 65m from China. Mummy should outgross it if just barely. 75 DOM 305 OS 380 WW (125m budget)

A well-reviewed solo Superman movie with a lot of hype should do a billion worldwide. Same goes for a solo Batman movie. The female Superhero factor is legit but aside from that $650-700 million WW seems about right in this day and age of peak CBM movies. Universal's Monster Universe is in a completely different space. The Mummy is a misstep and there is no way they will be able to greenlight a mummy sequel. Edited June 11, 2017 by TLK

picores
Good numbers. 300 OS should be the benchmark imo.
Blaze Heatnix
The Mummy still has some markets left to get the movie. Japan loves Cruise, so it'll perform fine too. 300-350 million overseas should be the end number.
Mr Impossible
$350-$400M is pretty good especially for a really bad film like this. It could've easily done a lot more maybe $600M if it had been good.
picores
The Mummy, directed by Alex Kurtzman and starring Tom Cruise and Sofia Boutella, debuted on $141.8m in 63 territories and set the record as Tom Cruise’s biggest international opening weekend ever. The Dark Rock
Looks like this had the potential for $650-700m ww. They butchered the chances completely by making crap movie. Probably looking for around $400m ww now
