People are really comparing Bautista to a child molester and serial sexual assaulter like Kevin Spacey just because he doesn't like that Disney fired his director and friend to appease a Conservative alleged rapist? Yes that's what you are doing when you joke that he should be replaced by that actor. There have been no rape allegations against Gunn nor any of the cast defending him and yet I routinely see people who believe that Gunn should have been fired throwing out such accusations. Interest in this topic deflated considerably. Cast letter was the peak but it didn't turn Gunn's fortunates around. Anything beyond that is just beating the dead horse with far fewer onlookers. I respect Dave for being a loyal friend but this affair is yesterday news now.

Doubtful. Less and less people care for this and GA definitely doesn't care who is at the helm, etc. Movie will be made and Gunn will work for DCEU. Just watch.

 

Also, Dave didn't say he'll leave if Gunn isn't rehired but if his script isn't used. Big difference. It means he's accepted that re-hiring isn't happening. So it's "at least credit the guy for work he's done already".

True and easy way out to save face, it would require quite something to remove completely Gunn writer credit on a project like this I would imagine (a full page 1 rewrite even for him not to keep some story by ?)

From the Sony leak about James Gunn, would not surprise me if all studios have offered him support and a job:
