Its due to underestimated Sunday most likely. IW made approximately 91m yuan this weekend which translates to 14.17m usd with current ER. If u convert 91m yuan to 13.2m usd you get an ER rate close to 6.9 which is absurd. So yeah Sunday is definitely under estimated for China

That would put OS-China at 10M then, still a pretty great hold. And it could go up with actuals too.

No you cannot do it that way. We already have the reported number for China and OS which are 13.2 and 24.3. So if the number for China increases with actuals tomorrow then the total (24.3) will rise to compensate for the underestimation rather than them taking the money away from the OS-Ch number.

Oh, I see what you mean now. I thought people was talking about how China estimates is under-reported in that OS weekend estimate itself.

Ya. It's 100%. With next week having no real direct competition domestically, and the week after being Fathers Day, the worst case scenario is $25M more domestically (I am expecting closer to $35M). Even in that scenario, it's impossible for OS + China to fail to bring in another $10M between them.

yeah the allways underestimate this movie so I wouldn't be suprised if the actuals are around 1.970-1.980

IW is $10 million away from beating TLJ's Worldwide gross with it's Overseas gross.

 

It's also $10 million away (USA + Overseas) from TRIPLING Justice League's worldwide gross.

 

By the end of it's run, it would rank #9 Worldwide, with it's Overseas gross only.

Avatar passed the two billie mark on 47 days. Infinity War is already at 38 days, so next week I think it gets to $2 billion mark.

It has no chance of grossing another $100M worldwide off of a 35M weekend this late into the run. Especially with Incredibles/JW2/Wprld Cup all coming lol.

Disney and Marvel's Avengers: Infinity War brought in an estimated $10.37 million, landing in fourth position as it kicks off its sixth weekend in release with a domestic cume that now stands at $642.8 million. Internationally, the film added another $24.3 million this weekend, pushing its overseas cume to $1.33 billion for a global tally that is now just ~$35 million shy of becoming only the fourth film to have ever topped $2 billion worldwide. The film is still yet to be released in Japan where it hits theaters at the end of June.
