I also thought Regal would more seriously reopen when I originally went for 50. I think without LA artificially delaying and wider Regal penetration we would have 50+ easily.

if everything goes according to plan regal will have reopen all of its loc by memorial weekend

guys does anyone know when the pre sales for mortal kombat start ?

Interestingly, while presales for the single movie tickets haven't started, I'm sure PvPs have, b/c BOTH my local Cinemarks have sold out their current PvPs for the opening Saturday - 2 screens/6 showings each and both sold the 6pm Friday one.  No way those are for anything but MK this far ahead...

How is the previous weekend selling? I could see it being for holdovers.

Okay, it could be b/c my area is apparently so hooked on them on weekends, we've sold out the previous Saturday, too:)...but nothing on the Friday, so I'll stick with the Fridays being for MK definitely:)...but, dang it!

These PvPs are never going away:)...Cinemark really has no reason to get rid of them if they can keep slowly upping their price as the years go by...

PS - But, I still gotta think the bookings will be the new movie for the new weekend...although now I'm a touch bummed, b/c I'd love to see MK go high after GvK did:)...and I gotta think these theaters will have 5 screens each for PvP for the Mortal Kombat weekend...

April is gonna be a wasteland outside of GVK and Mortal Kombat. Almost surprised they aren't making the one week Scott Pilgrim vs. the World re-release at the end of the month a fully wide release as opposed to the AMC Dolby Cinema exclusive it is.

As an aside, Mortal Kombat showtimes popped up today, though they aren't available for purchase yet. Should be any day though, which is good news for me. Gotta have something for the noggin.

So we’re thinking something like 15m for GvK second weekend? That’s not too bad honestly. I guess the goal is to see if it can pass KotM domestically. Looks like it’s going to pass it globally with ease unless it just straight up dies out
