Just now, WrathOfHan said:

So IW is getting 5 dedicated screens during the weekend with a couple of showings taken away from Blockers at my theater. Truth or Dare is an easy target if more shows are needed.

Infinity War is getting 9 screens here for the weekend and I'm sure a bunch of the other movies showing will get cancelled in the likely event they don't sell.

All my local theaters are waiting for the embargo to break...nothing set but the current planned screens for IW (and no bonuses added yet)...

I think there is definitely something going on with IW encouraging BP sales, this is a bit more than to be expected...

Before this train gets TOO far out of the station.

Number of SCREENINGS at Century Arden this coming weekend (slate might not be fully finished), FSS ONLY:

Infinity War:         91

A Quiet Place:      18

Super Troopers 2: 15

Traffik:                15

Rampage:            14

I Feel Pretty:        13

Truth or Dare:       6

Blockers:               6 (No Sun Yet)

Black Panther:       5

Ready Player One: 4 (No Sun Yet)

Labyrinth Event:    2 (Sun only)

In those five screenings there are 505 seats available.

Not one ticket has been sold for the weekend so far.

I won't be tremendously surprised if it is in the Top Five. I'll be shocked if it hits second.

iSpot airings:

Infinity War: 6,822 (2,216 for the movie, 1,684 for Geico, 1,137 for Infiniti, 1,083 for Rocket Mortgage, and 702 for Yoplait; this isn't even including network specific promos)

Overboard: 1,137

Tully: 665

Bad Samaritan: 14

Breaking In: 731

Life of the Party: 635

Deadpool 2: 1,156

Book Club: 220

Show Dogs: 97

Solo: 3,897 (2,977 for Denny's, 540 for General Mills, and 380 for the movie)

lol damn, Denny's is marketing the fuck out of Solo :jeb!:

Is Bad Samaritan even going wide? That's a fucking pathetic ad count 9 days from previews.

I'm guessing Focus will rely somewhat on WOM to expand Tully for Mothers Day. It's probably not getting more than 1,700-1,800 theaters total as EC said it's likely opening in 1.2k.

The theater I bought tickets for has IW screenings nearly sold out on Saturday but they’re also only giving it 3 3/4 screens

Its something like

IW: 3 Screens

IW/The Miracle season: 1 Screen

IFP: 1 Screen

Super Troopers 2: 1 Screen

Traffik: 1 Screen

ToD: 1 Screen

Rampage: 1 Screen

AQP: 1 Screen

Blockers: 1 screen

ICOI: 1 Screen

BP: 1 Screen

RPO/Metro Opera: 1 Screen

Theres a lot of screens they could have cut.

Haven't posted in awhile (life gets REALLY busy when you have a bathroom fail and you have to deal with estimates/contractors/etc), but I'm not missing Infinity War week - my 1st local is up and here's the set...

NEW

Avengers (5) (12 2d showings/8 3d showings)

Bharat Ane Nenu (1.75 - wow, amazing they set this for this week)

Achari America Yatra (.25 - last showing on one of the BAN screens)

RETURNING

I Feel Pretty (1)

Black Panther (1 - it's STILL here)

Rampage (1)

A Quiet Place (1)

Ready Player One (.6 - 3 showings)

Truth or Dare (.4 - 2 showings split on RPO)

Gone

Everything Else

Avengers has 2 more showings that the starting set of the last few Marvel movies (it has a full extra starting screen, but is only playing 4x on each screen, thus it doesn't have as many more showings as you'd expect)...

Doing the math, that would put IW around $252m for the weekend.

On pure math yes but then you have to account for the fact that at least a portion (albeit probably small) of TLJ's presales were for the holidays/weekdays since people were off. It's probably less than 5% but that could add $5-10 million more into calculating IW's opening weekend.
