Lol at the conservative prediction being 210+ or the third largest opener ever.

When you are releasing movies where only getting a $210M OW or $500M total (or in the case of TLJ $600M) would be considered disappointing, you are doing something right as a studio lol.

Holy shit at the new tc count, now that's more like it! So much for summer drive ins being needed! The OW record is completely toast.

The 300M OW train is stronger than ever.

Since we didn't have the Fandango Tracker numbers before I did the old eyeball test for comps for 5 min avg on WED before opening

I hope to do another around 6pm for a more direct comp to TLJ

AIW: 158 at 3pm

BP: 102 at 2:45 pm

TLJ: 175 at 6:30 pm

WW: 45 at 4pm

SMHC: 39 avg (12:30pm), 42 avg (3pm) , 54.2 (4pm)

Thor: 49 at 3:40pm, 47 (4:10pm)

JL:  36.6 (4:10pm), 47 (5:30)

Not sure who is allowed to start clubs, but my new favorite idea is “Chris Pratt’s Billion Dollar Summer” which is A:IW + JW:FK over $1bn domestic.

Everyone is allowed to start clubs. It's a good idea. start a club and see if the mods allow it.

I'd join that straight away! A nice club with a little bit of risk :)

Trippin it Old School:

Approx 150 per minute for IW at 3pm PDT (6pm  EDT) (154, 152 for 3:01 and 3:02 respectively)

Might be off a little since counting manually at that speed (even when using a keypad) can be tricky.  So consider that a ballpark estimate.

With a film this big I find it easier to count the rows and count the non Avengers movies.  Then multiply the first by 7 then subtract.  Even then it's going fast and it easy to trip up.
