Early show numbers , I have to go in somewhere now and won’t have my phone on so this will be the last update for the early shows. I’ll update the late shows once I’m home. There’s still more time for tickets to sell for the early shows so I expect that number to increase for sure.

496/ 728 ( that 1456 number was the total of the two early and two late shows)

Final late show numbers

310/728

Total for the day 806/1456

I have some further info that is sufficiently nerdy that I'll keep it to this thread. :)

MORE CM INFO (all tracking sources) .

Final 2D-3D split:

2D:  185

3D:    31 (14.35%)

189 reserved showings tracked [out of 216] (BP: 97/136) (IW: 126/182)

Percentage of seats sold at final tracking:

100:            8 (BP: 26) (IW: 59)

90%-99%:    7 (BP:   4) (IW: 13)

80%-89%:  16 (BP: 11) (IW: 26)

70%-79%:  30 (BP: 16) (IW: 18)

60%-69%:  28 (BP: 12) (IW:   7)

50%-59%:  18 (BP:   9) (IW:   3)

40%-49%:  16 (BP:   5) (IW:   3)

30%-39%:  13 (BP:   5) (IW:   1)

20%-29%:    8 (BP:   4) (IW:   0)

10%-19%:  23 (BP:   1) (IW:   0)

0%-9%:      22 (BP:   5) (IW:   0)

Showings with two rows or less but DID NOT sellout:  54 (includes the 7 showings 90% or more filled) (BP: 31) (IW: 53)

FSS breakdown at final check (any shows added later were not tracked):

Fri:   370 showings (BP: 3 sellouts/285)         (IW:2 sellouts/391)

Sat:  373 showings (BP: 286)                         (IW: 2 sellouts/389)

Sun: 353 showings (BP: 285) (BP [Mon]: 281) (IW:370)

====

CM ended up with 34 more showings than IW, locally.  And that's at the exact same number of theaters.

I wonder what the sellout/seat sold percentage would have been like if the number of showings were between BP and IW (but closer to IW since there is that new theater).  Say about 160 or so.  I have to imagine many of the folks would have waited 'till the weekend.  But I really am curious how many would have braved the crowds and seen it ASAP.

Never know, I suppose.  But an interesting What If, nonetheless.

Curious. Will you do a Friday morning report to show how tonight finishes up?

Me until Endgame starts selling tickets: 💤 💤 💤

===

There's really no way I could keep up with the seats being sold once it gets past 7pm. I'd have to do a massive check every 30 minutes or so. And while it would take less and less time as the night goes on, it still takes me a while to check all of the theaters.  Like a full check takes me 30 to 70 minutes just to get the data, never mind post an update.  Now as it gets later in the night, it might only take me 15 or 20 minutes per check. And maybe I could do a 'rolling check' of shows in groups just before they close out.

But I'd have to do it over and over and over again.  So, no, I'm afraid. :)

Plus, I do occasionally see these films on Opening Night.  Would mess up the comps if I didn't include, oh say, the SW films when I was busy watching them.

So I appreciate you looking forward to more info, but I'm afraid I leave the ball once midnight 7pm* strikes. :)

* Or whenever the 'main' showings start.

'sides, by then real concrete info is around (including updates from Asgard, hopefully).  So my data isn't really needed at that point.

7 + 14 = 21 :P

If pre-sales (which would go beyond Thr, as a reminder) are 21m at just <REDACTED> we are looking at a WILD weekend. ;)

I tend to think it won't be quite that wild, personally.
