I just submitted my list. I suspect half of my Top 10 will not appear in the Top 10 of any other user but I could be wrong. A couple of those films may not appear anywhere on any other list. I absolutely hated a lot of the big films from 1997 and I was not a happy patron at my local cineplexes for the most part.

Have been watching all the Scream movies, Scream 2 was really disappointing compared to the first, not awful, but far from great, I think I may have liked Scream 3 slightly better actually.

The Butcher Boy is my favorite way underseen movie of '97. Neil Jordan's best work, and it constantly transitions between comedy and tragedy amazingly well. It's in my top 3 right now.
