It's not that I dislike the film; I haven't seen it yet, even though I want to. It's just that I think voters should wait until next year is all. But if people like a film enough to intentionally disregard the film's domestic release date, that's okay.

My ballot may well be finalized after I catch The Post and Phantom Thread in the next couple days, but I'm hoping to also squeeze in I, Tonya (dependent upon whether it opens anywhere near me this weekend). The Florida Project will miss by a day, however (though I did cheat and read the screenplay a few weeks back; based on that and Sean Baker's previous work on Tangerine, I'm assuming that the finished product is pretty damn good).
