So Star Wars: The Force Awakens fourth weekend was $42,353,785.

For BP to top that it would need a drop of 36.12465% (with that drop the weekend would be $42,353,787 (so $2 higher) or less.

I would say it is at least possible, which is really crazy, when I think about it, I would say it is anywhere close to locked though. I right now would say $40M (or a little bit less) is where BP's fourth weekend will land. Which would still be amazing and a really low drop.

I thought PR's Sunday was over-estimated but stays at the estimated number

5 (3) Peter Rabbit Sony Pictures    $10,005,177   -22%    3,607     $2,774   $84,065,553   4

even with a 50% drop next weekend, rest of the weekends should add

5 + 3 + 1.8 + 1 + 0.5 + 0.7 (rest including dollar bump) = 12

rest of weekdays should add 4 for 12+4 = 16 more and 100 dom

Spidey 3 adjusted is 201/449 and Ultron is 204/491 adusted. It's just a coincidence that the actual 200 openers have strong WOM to push them past 600 total.

It's an insane thing that, once upon not so long ago, Justice league seemed like a shoe-in for 200M opening (After Nolan trilogy, I bet that things looked great for Batman + other big SH on paper). And yet...Just shows how damaging cash grab cinema is. If they gave it time and planned it like MCU instead of trying to achieve overnight what took years...

I sort of low-key hope my theatre gets Hurricane Heist just so I can watch the ensuing hilarity. To be fair though, it would only be a movie I would want to watch completely plastered so maybe not at the workplace...

In all honesty, I kinda hope I get to see Wrinkle, Red Sparrow, and Strangers this weekend.

Damn Moviepass, you screwed me - I lost this Casino best by under 50K...that's gotta at least be the amount their "blockage" took away (and to think I made the bet thinking it would get the subscription bump)...sigh...

I don't have an answer. Probably a combination of a lot of energy getting poured into BP's first two weekends, while its performance this time was very strong but not off-the-charts strong like the first two. And of course the Oscars probably took up a bunch of attention yesterday as well. Personally I didn't even know the weekend estimates until yesterday afternoon.

“Not as strong” third highest third weekend and almost topping Avatar for 2?

A blatant dig at an MCU movie’s BO?

Age has taken away your subtlety too, old man?
