I'm really getting the feeling that, assuming this film does poorly after its opening weekend, Zombieland 2 is gonna be Fleischer's last shot at a major studio film for a while. Doing 3 films in a row with negative reviews, and two of them also underperforming, doesn't look good at all.

Reviews aren’t surprising, the trailers always looked like a joke that belonged in the 90s/early 00s dark days of the genre. I really don’t understand to this day how marketing managed to generate so much buzz. Wonder if these reviews will bring the ow down at all.

It was unsurprisingly bad. Kind of entertaining but bad regardless. The dialogue is just impressively awful. Hardy tried, but.....meh

The THR review of this said Tom Hardy is "the perfect actor to one day play Harvey Weinstein" in the opening paragraph.

The film doesn't look good, but that's some Rex Reed level bullshit. Also, isn't Hardy considered one of the most attractive men alive? Equating him to Weinstein has nothing to do with the movie, and just seems like a shitty way to start the review.

Getting hints of The Snowman here. Also a movie that had me laughing unintentionally. Venom might be a movie that I’ll see just for that. Good thing there’s that Amazon Prime discount.
