A while back someone compared Hotel Transylvania's track record to Ice Age (domestically of course, not worldwide), which seems like a fair comparison. Using that comparison, a fourth one would probably do a solid 35/125. Hopefully Sony doesn't push out a fifth one though.

Should be a $1.15m+ w/e for CR and close to $97m and it hasn't even done a discount theater run.   

 

PD made another $2m after a 870k w/e.  With the same drops CR would make $2.64m more but it's holding better.

 

AWIT was at $92.5m after a $1.3m w/e and then a month later after  double features with AIW and a 1k plus expansion was at $96.8m with a $1.15m w/e. 

 

I doubt there will be need for AWIT's extensive B.O.  gymnastics

So far Amazon has completely struck out as a distributor. Beautiful Boy could do okay but I'm not expecting much more than a $10M total from that. Suspiria won't make much with its 2.5 hour running time and heavily polarized reactions either.

Saw Fahrenheit. It's pretty powerful but it preaches to the choir, and Moore always leans more into opinion and conjecture versus investigation. It makes for a more entertaining documentary, if not very informative.

You could even go as far as to say it's factually incorrect, nevermind pointless to say it.... do I need to point out 2017's slate of horror? It. Get Out. Annabelle: Creation. Especially It, which performed to comic book tentpole levels of strong. There is no argument for R-rated horrors being a poor greenlighting in the current Hollywood climate. I've definitely heard it even in the past year, but only by a few people likely trolling who aren't even worth mentioning anyways.

People used to claim that R rated horror films didn't make money for some reason but not anymore. That being said, all horror films do not need to be R rated. Not once did I wish that one of my favorite films of the year, A Quite Place, was R rated.
