Looks intriguing and unique. Surprised that with the rise and domination of the superhero movie over the past two decades we haven’t really had a major movie use the concept of “what if Superman (or any of the other iconic superheroes) was evil?” until now.

Reminds me a bit of a comic book called Irredeemable which is basically what If Superman went bad.

Did you not watch BvS?  It certainly seemed like Snyder wanted to move that direction

I'm interested. Love the play on the superman lore, right down to the look and aesthetic of MoS especially in the first half of the trailer.

In an age where horror films are doing better than they ever have before, this film looks like it'll gain the attention of the internet-savvy superhero fans who see the correlation to Superman.

This is an interesting concept turning a well known comic book character evil and using it as a horror story. I think with the popularity of comic book movies today, all studios can probably do a movie like this inspired from the stories of the comic book characters and turn them evil in a horror type setting.

Seth Rogan and Evan Goldberg are doing an adaptation of Invincible. I heard that follows a similar setup

It's pretty funny how Gunn is producing a quasi-riff on Man of Steel if it was a straight horror film considering him & Zack got huge career boosts from working together on Dawn of The Dead
