Weekend Thread (3/1/2019 - 3/3/2019) - Weekend Estimates - Page 19.

+100%, -35% on Sat, Sun will give Dragon3

6.3 + 12.6 + 8.2 = 27.1 weekend

Lego2 did >100% bump but Dragon3 doesn't skew as young so 25-26 could be realistic.

+85%, -35% on Sat, Sun will give Alita

1.7 + 3.1 + 2.0 = 6.8

Last Sat was +77%. If it stays close to that then 6.5+ is a good target.

I saw Greta yesterday and it's a very very effective thriller. It's got the same blueprint as room. I really really despised the antagonist in the movie and when you leave the theater you realize that these kinds of things actually happened all around the world. I'm sure many of you don't have Greta on your radar because there's been very little advertising for it but if you want to see a really good thriller please go check it out.

No I meant in my country (city) where I live. I believe that it was cancelled in America.

Yeah. People are so casual here about watching movies they don't watch lot of movies at theatres. I believe average 15 movies a year would be my guess

It's around 3-5, I think. Charlie has the data. Cities have higher of course.

Man I wish I had a movie pass 😢. It's not available here.

If there's a Carnival cinema near you, you can watch any number of films in weekdays by Rs. 400 p.m.

No Carnival near me and the Paytm thing is only for one watch which doesn't make that much difference. For two movies I generally spend Max 300 Rs. I mostly watch morning shows so ticket is cheap if I go by PayTm method I will have to spend extra

Ugly opening for Greta.:winomg:

It could've fared worse. I actually saw a lot of ads for it recently but the reviews were on the mixed side and the movie looked more campy than creepy (the clip of that scene in the restaurant makes me chuckle every time I see it). Oh well, good for Huppert getting the chance to headline a wide multiplex release, at least.
